Well the acess to the embassy was so close. Then restaurant .the property managnent help during oir stay. It was short visit but value for money. Soon will be back again
It is easy to find, near the road, around a lot of greenery that hides the noise of the road. Friendly staff, air conditioning, TV, comfortable large bed, kitchen, hot water, this room has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Great location, availability to check out very early, Niri is very nice.
Nothing in deed, the worst place I ever been to, I was surprised how booking com with its good propose can offer such a place, maybe I will do extra think for the next time to do a booking with with booking com, I have been a loyal client to booking com for many years.
The location is great - easy to get to, close to many sights; the host was great - she wasn't there when we checked in so came round later on to say hi. We were also allowed to check in early which was great!
This was our second stay at the property in 6 weeks. The location is excellent and the owner Neri could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. As before Neri arranged our onward transport to the airport. The room is very comfotable and the bonus of a kitchen gave us a lot of options for having what we wanted within the evening. We throughly recomend this property for any couple who wish to spen a few nights in Colombo
The owner and employees are very friendly and helpful. Neri kindly booked us a taxi to the station for an 05.10 departure and ensured it arrived. The Garden Studio room is a little smal but more than adequate for a few days and the attached kitchen, with a washing machine is very useful. The location is excellent for access to the town with Tuk Tuk,s on each corner. It is only a short walk to 2 shoping centres that have food halls, or other good restaurant,s. We found it easy to find the property thanks to the e mailed instructions from Neri. We found it so much to our liking we booked a further 4 night for the end of our trip.
It is not a hotel room, don't expect that. But in case you need a place to sleep for your stay, with a bed, a fridge, a bathroom, and helpful host, than it is excellent. You have even some cooking possibilities if you like. It is a separate room, you will get a key to the gate and the room, so you can move totally alone as you want. When we needed a transport to the Railway station, the hosts ordered us a metred taxi, with correct prices.
Location is perfect, everything is close or accessible by tuk-tuk for reasonable price.Back garden was nice.Personnel is attentive and helpful, despite we haven't met owner, and service guy didn't speak English well.
We arrived and was met by the ladys helper who was very helpful. The accommodation was everything we could ask for and would have liked to have stayed longer. It is in a very good neighbourhood
Ubication.
In within the middle of the city. You have your own privacy and the owner was vey helpful.
Wifi access. Privacy.
A studio with nice garden, friendly and helpful host and staff.
Spacious room, set off courtyard, quiet despite being fairly central
the facilities, the communication with our guest, the availability and the flexible check-in out
Very nice stay and clean room and bathroom. Owner is very helpful and courteous.
Staff was friendly and it was nice to have a kitchen within the room. Had everything we needed
I cant imagine anything i didn't like
Evereting was perfect!
Quite expensive in comparison with other acomodation possibilities. WiFi did not work properly.
This is not a residence at all, it is in deed a garage room with 2 very small windows, the room is very dirty, dark, bath tupe does not work, gives only hot water which make it impossible to take a shower in this 32 degree hot weather. When I spoke to the owner, she told me they will fix it tomorrow on the day we are leaving. When I told her we could not take a shower during these 2 days and we need badly take a shower, than she offered us to get a shower in her privet bathroom, which I did not like, but I had to, my wife refuse take a shower in her bathroom, means my wife could not take a bath in 2 days in a very hot town with 32 degree. My advice to booking com clients to get a better place for maybe less money, do not save a cash with this place, you wI'll regrate it.
The place is a bit dirty. While there is a kitchen available, we decided not to use is as there was lots of dirt including within the fridge (not due to not being used a lot, but because it clearly was not cleaned). When we came around, we were sat down within the reception without any explanation of when our room would be available. Only after 30mins of sitting there were we told that our room would be available in about an hour.
Though the room is in a sepearate building, in a little garden, behind a car-entering gate (from the street you'd hardly think there is a homestay), anyhow the busy street noice gets in. (but within the night the traffic is really low, so you can have a good sleep till the morning)
Very loud, close to the road, sleeping was awful.Dark room, expression of not renewed for long time, not perfectly clean. There was big ugly insect within the kitchen, died during 1st night, so we didn't even entered there..Water pressure is poor, hot water exists, but difficult to set one temperature.Price is not reasonable for this quality.
Cockroaches in de room! So I left immediately.
There was cockroach within the bathroom.
Key of the room not smooth.
Room whilst comfortable could do with a little modernising
If I had to thin of something, the place is on a busy street, which was a little noisy during the day, but was actually not that bad at night. Really there wasn't any issues with the stay at all.
Unfortunately we were not able to talk to anyone on our arrival (no reception)quite noisy.
as listed within the reviews before, it cannot be called a garden studio cause the windows are so tiny, even during the day you need to turn the light on, which is a shame cause the little garden looks lovely.the night of our arrival, the town suffered a major power cut, so no wireless or ac available. of course the owner is not responsible for this, and I totally understand the exceptional situation, and they provide us with torch and candles. but I totally lost it when they put a generator within the garden for themselves but not for their rented apartments! you can imagine the noise of a generator under your windows but you don't have the benefit of it! we had to leave and find another place that would agree to share the advantages of a generator by 9pm, the owner agreed to charge us only half of the rate (though we did not really used the room...).
On our night of arrival it rained and a drip, dripping sound kept us awake. We had to get our ear plugs o

Due to its large harbour and its strategic position along the East-West sea trade routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders 2,000 years ago. It was made the capital of the island when Sri Lanka was ceded to the British Empire in 1815, and its status as capital was retained when the nation became independent in 1948. In 1978, when administrative functions were moved to Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, Colombo was designated as the commercial capital of Sri Lanka.
Like many cities, Colombos urban area extends well beyond the boundaries of a single local authority, encompassing other municipal and urban councils such as Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte Municipal Council, Dehiwala Mount Lavinia Municipal Council, Kolonnawa Urban Council, Kaduwela Municipal Council and Kotikawatte Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha. The main town is home to a majority of Sri Lankas corporate offices, restaurants and entertainment venues. Famous landmarks in Colombo include Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park, Beira Lake, Colombo Racecourse, Planetarium, University of Colombo, Mount Lavinia coast, Nelum Pokuna Theatre, Colombo Lotus Tower as well as the National Museum."
